So after I finished my 10" lift with 37s I've been having trouble with the alignment.

I get free alignments at Kauffman for life so Ive always brought it there. Never had any trouble with my 7" lift and 37s, but once I stepped up to the 10" lift they have had trouble aligning the front. Theres plenty of room for adjustment, but they just cant seem to get it perfect.

I know my camber is off bc I can visually see that I have a positive camber on the drivers side, and also I beleive my toe is off too. Last time I took it in, they just "eye-balled" it since that was my 5th time in there lol

It seems that most places just have a computer that tells them the specs for OEM alignments. What type of place should I go to that can align these 37s? Any chain store? Or a piece of equipment I should ask if they have?

They all say they can align them lol but I have little faith

The bigger and higher you go you need a solid axle if you don't want alignment problems. 1500's weren't meant to be monster trucks, too many *** weenie steering components. By the time you are done beefing up all the suspension parts you could have probably put a solid axle in there. Solid Axle you would have no alignment issues with 37's and ten inch lift. I knew a dude that was up 9 inches and ran 37's with a TTB suspension and he literally could never get an alignment to hold and he worked at a brake shop. Even if you get it aligned I doubt it will hold, just is what it is. You have a sweet truck if you really love it and want to drive it a decade, I would swap axles on it. Anyhow, that is funny you have free alignments for life with that set up, that shop may rethink that after you are done with them, lol.

I've been on 11.1" of lift with 37s for a year with 20k miles and only needed two alignments. I'd try a different shop. No offense to them but if they are not used to dealing with tires and lift that size then that could be an issue. I am switching to a straight axle truck before the end of the year to go bigger.
Or perhaps call your lift manufacturer and see if they have different specs than the factory alignment. Mine does not, however.

You gonna swap or buy a different truck? If you do a SAS I want to see a thread on it. Been thinking about that ever since I bought my truck.

Probably just buy a 2500, Im thinking an axle swap would be too expensive, but I don't know much about it

It would be cheaper then buying a 2500, You need to find an axle on craigslist and find a shop that will swap it and rebuild it. Usually 3 to 5 grand, custom ones can go as high as 8 or 10 but really a waste for a dd. I think any Dana 60 is what you are looking for, just ask the shop for other options.

Oh ok. Yea I bought this truck for a fun daily driver before I finally settle for a crew cab 2500. Didn't plan to keep it long enough to do something that extreme and pricey

Well to hell with you then :)

I was hoping someone would dive in to the swap before I did, make it easier for me to jump. I think with a Solid Axle I would want to drive this for at least a decade or better, but I don't know how long I want to drive it with this suspension. If I had the 8 speed it would be easy choice, just swap that puppy, but I can't stand the 6 speed either. Maybe I will just bite the bullet and see what I can get a 2500 for too.

Yeah they all do, but I certainty wished they would make it an option on the 1500's.
