Just sold my 2010 Ram and got a 2012 Ram 1500 Sport. I would like to go with the 6" suspension lift however from reading all of the instructions w/Rough Country and Zone, I would need to do some cutting to the frame/cross member. I would rather not do that. So I resort to the Bilstein 5100s I guess and run a size or 2 bigger mud terrains on some 20x9 or 20x10.

Can someone with the lifts fill me in and confirm/correct me. Same with the Bilsteins. Has anyone recenetly done them on a '12? I appreciate any info or links/pm's. Not opposed to HBS level either, just want it up in the air some more and functional.

I thought the RCX combo lift was 1.25"? Did you install the rear spacers too? And did you do the work yourself or a shop b/c I know it requires cutting the bumpers.

I own a 2011 Sport with a 6/5" Zone lift with Bilstein 5100's. You do not need to cut the frame for this lift that is not correct. The lift is made to be able to install and uninstall the lift back to factory setup. As far as lifts go I would look into the Zone, BDS, and Procomp lifts. In my oponion they are the best out there. When it comes to the Bilstein 5100's that was a great move on my part installing them. It corrected the rake that the lift leaves and helped to give me the ride I was looking for.

I actually ran into a guy while I was working tonight who has a brand new 2012 Sport and had the 4" RCX lift installed. Looks great and I'm glad I got to see it in person. The crossmember was cut to instal this lift. I've spoken with several dealers about the warranty and I think I am going to take the plunge and do the 6" lift.
