Have a 14' crew cab 2wd midnight express.

I want to put nitto terra g2's 35/12.5/20 with black rhino imperials: http://goodroads.net/wheel.cfm?wid=697&id=172

I'm trying to figure out my best option for the lift. I've done a body lift in the past on my old f150. I did the body lift to save some $ but I don't really want to cut corners on the ram just to save a little $.

What do you guys think my best option is running 35"s? Thanks

You guys think 4" is good enough for 35"'s? This is the product I'm looking at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016A70E8E/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_263_1/179-5396289-0859917?ie=UTF8&dpID=51c42SsBboL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C75_&refRID=XJZ63RTN3ZP6JX66TWWB

I'm missing 2 cylinders
Following for info. I just got a 14 crew cab 2wd and am interested in lifting it as well. I'm looking for the best way to get +6" of lift on a 2wd though. Had MaxTrac on my Gen 3 and loved it

I might be a little biased but I think that's a great choice! :waytogo:

BTW thank you for all the kind words and support from everyone. Sure means a lot!

@Jas8346 That's a great price with the free shipping. As far as rake goes, do you happen to know exactly how much rake your truck has stock? Depending on how much you have you may end up level or rear end tall with the 4.5"/3". Some guys like to measure before just so they have an idea where they will be sitting but I can say that I have never come across anyone sitting rear low with the 4.5"/3" if that helps. -- Sean

I installed their 7" lift kit a couple weeks ago and love it! Plenty enough room for 35's. I'm waiting until I get my spacers so I can measure to see if I can fit a 36. Did it all by myself with basic hand tools. Took me right at about 10 hours to do it, and that was installing front control arms, and rear control arms at the same time.

I actually installed a front end leveling fit which provides approx .5-1" of rake. Could I leave that leveling kit on there and add the lift kit on top of that? Not sure if it would work.

I have 2 toddlers, so the 7" is probably going to be too high for me. Believe me id love to go higher and bigger if I could but it would be too much of an inconvenience.

I'm also looking at installing power steps to help load and unload the kids! Ha

Yeah you can use the leveling kit with the spindles no problem. If it provides 1" of lift you will have 5.5" up front and then need to decide which height to go in the rear...

How's the ride? I had the MaxTrac 4.5" kit combined with a 2"Traxada Coil Spring (Spacer) Leveling Kit on my Gen 3 and the ride was horrendous. Never figured out if the terrible ride was because of the lift or the spacer or a combination of the two.

Honestly, for being lifted up so high, the ride is great! Almost like factory, just a hair stiffer, but that's to be expected with the stiffer springs.

If one was to buy the 4" Maxtracs lift and once it's installed or somewhere down the road, can you buy the other parts to make it a Maxtracs 7" lift!

Yes you definitely can. If you get the 4.5"/3" kit then all you need to do is add the front coils & shocks later along with the rear 1.5" spacers and you will be at 7"/4.5" . Definitely easy to upgrade later and no parts lost to do so. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks -- Sean

I completely agree with HemiPower on this, have the 4.5" and love it. I do have the 1.5" blocks in the rear too and it sits level. Keep in mind I have bags on the rear end so the front end might sit a little higher without them.
