I have a 2017 SLT with chrome front and rear bumpers. Lately I've been thinking I like the look of the color matched sport style rams. Has anyone blacked out an SLT? Here's my truckIMG_2098.JPG

I've been considering it but my truck is silver so it would definitely stand out more

Kid I work with turned his slt into sport. Front/rear bumpers, duals exhaust, factory 20's and color matched mirrors. It's a base v6 truck. Looks good but I can't help think he would've been better off buying a sport from the start.

Some have used plastidip on their bumpers and wheels.

Might have made more sense to get a sport. However, there are some folks with a sport that may be wiling to trade for your chrome. You would need to trade grills as well. If you want to go the painting route and have everything match, that would cost a bit, I estimated about $1500, maybe a little less if you just do bumpers and grill. Or, for under a $100 you can plastidip, that's what I did for now. This is a 2014 SLT in matte black. You can gloss the plastidip as well, but won't get that color match obviously...

I blacked out the grey on my 3/4. Added some lights, etc. I think it looks a world better than before.

Is that plastidip? How long has it been on and how does it look now?

I've seen a couple trucks on here that have gotten the bumpers sprayed with Rhino Liner or Line-X. Looked pretty good.

Actual rock guard.

My winter rims are stock chromes that I plasti-dipped tho. 2 winters so far and only one is peeling the smallest amount from a wheelweight. About 8-10k miles every winter. I put 3-4 coats on when I did them.
