HID issue, turning off.

going to repost again...so whats happening is my low beams hid are turning off. sometimes my fogs will turn off also.....they have resistors/ capacitors all hooked up. what's going on? lumens HID kit. 35w 6000k. to get them working again i have to turn my tuck off and on for them to function again.

Do you have a relay harness?
Check ground? I had one headlight flicker and go out on me, was just a bad ground.

yes and yes grounds are fine. i don't think i should be able to turn the truck off and on and it fixes the problem if its a bad ground? i could e wrong tho, please correct me if i am.

I've heard that if you have your automatic headlights on it confuses the computer and thing like that happen.
If you do have the auto feature on just turn it to the off position and Manually turn on and off

done that also, still nothing it will be on auto/ or manual and it will randomly still shut off while driving.

Either the ballasts or relay harness is bad would be my guess

For my 2014, I have CANBUS ballasts on my fogs and headlights. I haven't had any issues like that.

I know on my 2010, it was a real PITA to keep them going, but I did not have CANBUS on that one either.

I think the 2015 is a little different however. You should hit up Jeremy at RetroShop. He can probably diagnose and and take care of you.

As stated above, CANBUS hids work everytime. Dont know why sheeple continue to add more wiring, relays, ect.

Canbus kit worked on my 2013 1500, fathers 2015 gmc sierra, my buddies 2015 1500.

It's because you have a 2015. Ram changed something with the headlights for 2015 and up computer wise which has created a lot of issues with HID kits. Talk to Jeremy at Retroshop as I believe he's got it all figured out now. Canbus adapters may be the answer but there may be more to it than that. He'll be able to fill you in on all the details.
