I bought a spare full size rim from a member here on RF and I decided to change out the temp spare that my truck was lucky to have. I had the Goodyear HP put on it to match the other 4 I have.

I started with the chrome 20"

Then I attempted to put it up and found out that the chrome cover was in the way. The center hub hole was smaller on the plastic than the tire carrier hanger bracket. So I had to pry off the chrome cover. Which was glued on.

I cleaned it up as best as I can. Doesnt look to bad as a rim for the truck anyway.

Here is it mounted under the truck.

Thats pretty cool man. I don't know why they just put a little donut as a spare on these trucks.

Seriously, why does Dodge consistently put those dumb plastic covers over wheels? I'm sure they'res a good reason, but nobody like it! I wish I could take my covers off, but I don't think it would look good underneath, and I doubt I could get all the glue off.

I posted a pic of the cover off and cleaned and what it looks like. The cover will come off pretty easy. If you want I can post on how I did it.

Wow do the 4th gens only come with a small ass spare? My 05' came with a full size spare on a 20" rim straight off the lot. Used it a few times.

Looks really good though, nice job!

Hey matt, do they salt the roads alot where you live, or do you live by the sea? Cause there's a ton of rust all over the bottom of your truck. My 05 didn't even really have anything like that, and yours is a 2010. I think it might need some light sanding and a protective spray/coating.
