I'm having a hard time finding a tool chest or deep tool box to put in my 2014 Dodge ram 1500 with the 6.4ft bed. Every one I've set in rests on the tire well. Any suggestions?

I just removed mine because I got a hard cover.

Mine was a low profile one that was well before the wheel well and didn't come to the bed floor. It was made by Better Built. I threw it up for sale here at Craigslist in my area.

You don't want the ones that ride behind the window? Side wall opening, they have like 100's to choose. In black as well...

This one fits in front of the wheel wells and will open if you put a tonneau cover on the back. It sits on the floor of the bed.

How do you secure those to the truck? Drilling holes I presume?

The problem with those is reaching down into them. You would literally have to climb into the bed to get a small item out of the bottom.

Or at least I would.

My Quad has a 1/2 width (behind the window) box, but if I get a Crew/short bed, I'm thinking the Ram Box is going to be the answer.

With my tonneau cover I have to get inside the bed to open the lid to get anything out of the box, but the lid opens all the way. I have a CC short box. Just put the tool box in, did not bolt it down and the fender wells keep it from sliding backwards. I put in a Bed Rug to save my old tired knees when crawling into the bed.
