This has been posted before so sorry for the redundancy.

If you're planning to update your instrument cluster to one with EVIC or simply want uconnect phone buttons on your express steering wheel see below.

You do not need to remove the steering wheel.

Step 1 - Remove airbag (3 tabs) - Use a screw driver.
Step 2 - Remove plastic panel on the steering wheel (6 screws). 4 are phillips and 2 are torx T20. The button panel is attached with 3 T10 torx.

The new button group is a direct replacement of the plain button on the left side of the steering wheel. It is plug and play.

Remove the airbag.
Disconnect negative battery terminal and wait at least 20 minutes to discharge capacitor.

Removal was fairly easy for me using a flathead screwdriver. I recommend removing your instrument cluster first to give you more room to wedge the screwdriver in there.

Remove the plastic cover holding the buttons.
Once the airbag is off there are 4 screws on the inner side.
2 additional phillips are located behind the wheel on the lower part of the wheel.

The evic uconnect button group is a direct replacement.
Please verify the part number for your year. The backlit colors may be different.

Reverse the installation process and you are done.

The buttons Uconnect and Menu Navigation work on both the basic cluster and the EVIC cluster. Hope this helps.
