I bought my truck last fall and didn"t use the A/C at all, and had the heater and blower on most all winter.

Now that we have had a few warm days, I turn off the blower and I get a loud whistling sound from the passenger side of the cab.....it starts at 55 mph and get worse as speed increases.

If I turn on the blower motor, the whistle immediately stops.

I turned on the A/C the other day and I get the same whistling sound starting at 55 mph.

So, it whistles all the time at 55 mph and above, unless the blower motor is on but not the A/c...

Anyone else with this issue?????

Hi zogg,

I think my noise is more of a low pitched squeal, coming from passenger side dash as well. It is definitely only present when the blower is on. It gets slightly louder the higher the blower speed is turned. But so far vehicle speed has no effect on the volume or severity of the squealing "knock on wood"

Only thing I can think of is that the blower fan is squeaky and needs to be oiled maybe?

May not be the same issue but my brother was driving my truck 3 days ago and it got a little warm. He ask me to turn on the AC and when I did I got whistle sounds and very little air from the dash vents. Just so happened that all 4 vents were closed and caused the whistle. Opened them and problem was solved.
