How did you get yours off? I guess I'll look for a filter wrench tomorrow...
I've never had to pour old oil back in before :eek:

Had to use a pair of oil filter pliers:

First change was at 700 miles - so I would imagine it would only get worse with more miles and heat cycles.

On my 2010 1500, I used a filter cap with a 3/8th and extension. Mine was tight as well, installed by dealer after free 3,000 mile oil change.

I remember doing the first oil change on my 05 after I bought it, we ended up using oil filter pliers as shown above. That filter looked like it got run over my a semi after it came off LOL

Used a piece of sand paper on bottom and used my man hands lol. Came off with a little motivation. Like how 'factory installed' is stamped on filter
