Catch Can after 1500 miles.JPG

I cannot believe how much oil this thing is catching. After so few miles. Although in that 1500 miles there were SEVERAL gas pedal on the floor moments, soooo. It is definitely worth the money for sure.

I agree, especially after seeing it in person. haha. Funny thing is, I put a PTB from Moe's on it a few days before i put the catch can on, and the factory TB was really clean. Strange that it didnt have alot of gunk on it ya know. Maybe the CAI etc I did same time is allowing it to suck more from PCV? I dunno. But it's protected now.

The harder you drive the truck, the more oil is going to get pumped out of there. Most guys drive easy until they start adding power mods, so that would explain the extra oil now as apposed to when you were stock.

yea it's pretty amazing how much spray is sent back into the intake. Great for emissions, not the best for performance

Thanks for the info guys. How often do you have to empty the can? Does adding the can have any effect on MPG's?

Emptied mine today...had less than that in it with probably 4000 miles on it. The oil looked so clean I thought about dumping it back into the motor. lol

I check mine every 1000 miles or so. My gas mileage went up slightly with the addition of the can.

Dat Cummins!
It stop oil from being vented back into the engine via the throttle body.
From the factory a hose vents pressure from the crank case to the TB, along with the pressure it vents it also push a small amount of oil through the tube and into the engine. This is not good for your truck.
The catch can is placed in the way and the oil falls to the bottom of the can and the pressure is released back into the engine without the oil.
This is the first Mod one should do when they buy a RAM!!!

Thanks for the heads up! Just ordered one. My truck has 3,800 miles on it so it's better I learned about it sooner than later.
