I dont know if theres a thread in this yet but i seen this on a different forum, so figured I'd try it. I ran a wire from the tb bolt to the ground on the fender. By doing which its supposed to reduce static charge that builds up in the tb. People claim that by grounding the tb it smooths out the idle, smoother shifting and some other things. I just did it this morning, not 100% convicted it worked yet.... any one else do this?

i did it a week after i got my fastman tb so i cant say whether it was the wire or the new tb but the truck does not lag at all anymore and the response is so nice now.

I've Hurd it works on a number of different vehicle applications. Worth a shot. If u have spare wire and connectors its a free mod.

I saw it on the other forum. Adding grounds can never hurt. Not sure if it will help or not though

I did it and there is something to this. I've noticed smoother shifting, not a big power booster but a bit snappier throttle response and it feels more connected, less laggy if that make sense. Good cheap mod.

Would it work on my truck? I'm about to get a bigger throttle body to. And its not electronic throttle.

Great Idea, Can't Hurt, I'm in! Got a weird P2110 (I think) at -40 start-up the other day! and so far can only run the Ported TB in Summer or I go into Limpe.

Since the ground on a truck is an electrical ground and not an earth ground how is it supposed to reduce static?

what does earth ground have to do with reducing static in a vehicle?
