Just installed Moe's 87mm Throttle Body

First off, what fast shipping! I couldn't believe how quickly it got here. The install took less than 5 minutes, and the product was perfect. Have only driven about 10 miles so far, but here is what I have observed:
-throttle response is definitely better
-it feels smoother and cleaner through the acceleration curve
-it eliminated that slight stutter mine had under light load
-responds out of the hole much quicker, regardless of light throttle or WOT
-under WOT, it pulls faster and smoother through the mid-range
-just flat out rev's

Overall, I am extremely pleased with this throttle body. It makes the truck easier and just plain smoother to drive. I would recommend it to anyone. On a side note, with all of the threads on catch cans and sludge buildup in the throttle body, at 9100 miles, my stock throttle body was spotless. I kind of expected to see it gummed up on the inside a little bit.

I have managed to get another 25 miles on her today, and I am really happy with this throttle body! It has really opened up the power band.

Yes they do very well as I am running the 87mm TB and an S&B.

If an 87mm throttle body is as great as you say it is, why didnt the factory put it on?

I am skeptical, if you can't tell. I would have to see a dyno graph.......

I have no clue as to what a dyno would read (none around here that I know of), but the drivability is much much better than it was before. I have zero complaints.

Which is actually funny - when I was running Moe's 87mm TB I gained about 0.5 to 1.0 mpg.

Just put one on my truck yesterday, along with a Vararam CAI, 180 t stat, and custom tuning. I can't say how much the TB gave me alone, as I put every thing on at once. I can tell you this, with these few things combined the truck is a different animal.

Big thanks to Matt and Sean both have great customer service. I had everything put on my truck three days after ordering including the custom tuning. That's what I call some great fast service.

The same reason long tubes don't come from the factory on these trucks.

Ive read a bunch of articles on throttle bodies. That's the reason l question the evaluation. Maybe everything he is saying is right on the money, and maybe it the placebo effect. From what l understand, you can get "The Petal Commander Effect" from an aftermarket throttle body.

It's just a little too neat, and easy.

Now the guy that did a TB, CAI, and a Tuner..... l am much more inclined to believe those results.

Everyone is jumping all over this guy.... but I somewhat agree with him! Honestly I don't really know what a throttle body is going to get you, if anything not much... but glad the OP is pleased.

I know different car, different motor but I am still running the stock throttle body on my cammed 2010 Camaro SS. It would be a waste of money because it wouldn't yield much of anything in performance.
