I don't want to step on any foots. Neither here, there, with moe or pedal commander. So I won't mention price or share links. Know what I mean.

That V6 with an 8/3.92 ought to spin tires, no problem.

You guys are going to like that Petal Commander.

Thanks for the review. I'm sure I will get one down the line, the 300.00 is just hard to swallow right now.

did some more driving in sport mode 2.. so far my mpg dropped from 17.5 to 16.5... however it is of my own doing... A loss of 1 mpg in sport mode +2 is not s bad as i thought it would be.. tomorrow i have to do some more highway driving in the morning.. im going to drop her in to eco mode and clear my mpg.. see what she registers..

Picked up and installed a Pedal Commander on my 13 Ram 1500 CC v6/8spd 3.21 today.
(From Nick@gotexhaust, see discount here )

Will report back soon.

Edit: install was super easy. Hardest part is figuring out where to mount it. Like others in the South, I don't think the Velcro mount/adhesive is going to last long in this SC heat. I will re-evaluate a new mounting location/method later.

First Impressions:

Drove to work in (15min mix of local/hwy):

Sport mode (+2) ...
- pedal lag seemed to be significantly reduced (maybe 90% better).
- maybe it's my V6/8spd/3.21 combo, but it doesn't feel like my tires are going to chirp or let loose at this setting any more than normal. (I did change the stock 17's out for the factory Sport 20's & GY SRA's/set the BCM to match 2 months ago).
- overall seems much better and what I think it should have been from the factory.

Next up. . .
Setup the PC for Sport+ mode (+2) for the drive home tonight.

EDIT: (Drive home)

Sport+ mode (+2 and +3) ...
- Definitely a lot more pep/response
- Definitely liked the acceleration response while running down the interstate (65mph) when I needed to accelerate to avoid getting cut off by traffic coming down the on ramp. No more pressing the petal way down before it would downshifts & over revs to accelerate.
- Put a little grin on my face running around in (+3) briefly.
- If you let out the gas before the trans upshifts 1st - 2nd it will lurch a bit. Best just ride it out. A little too touchy for stop & go driving imo.

Separately:
- Seems to encourage the 8 spd trans to shift sooner, my guess is due to the higher throttle value requested. Nice secondary effect.

CONS:
- Unfortunately the Pedal Commander doesn't work when Cruise Control is "Set". They are up front about this on their website and included documentation. This makes sense because you are no longer using the pedal input exclusively during cruise. It would be fantastic if the truck responded the same way with cruise control set... less hunting gears to maintain speed.

- Yep. The Velcro mounting tape is almost useless in the southern heat (96 degrees today). Found the PC hanging by the cord when I came back out to the truck after work. Could definitely use some higher temp rated 3m Velcro or find a permanent mount spot for it. May try some 3M Fastener TB3571/TB3572

Updated previous post & will report back after a few days.

Decided to order a new transmission release dash panel cover to hack up and permanently mount/recess the Pedal Commander mount into (Panel above the brake release).

Here's the PN and link for a gray one if anyone else is interested...

Try using the 3m command strips, they work great. Had them in my camper for a couple month over summer, with no AC and not one gave up, my thermometer recorded a high of 126* inside.
