What would make some nice power gains for the street, without breaking parts down the line? I.E. tranny

Here's what I was thinking for down the line:
Tuner (Diablo)
Jba's
Cutout (Mainly for the sound)
Delete Resonators
Catch Can (Preventive Measure)
Some type of cai (Thinking of a Homebrew)
Mark VIII E-Fan
Taller gears
and a cam of some sort (which one? Im lost)

What do you think? I dont go to the track, but I might every now and then once the parts are in. Mainly just for kicks. Open to any and all criticism.

Good Topic! 4th Gen though Rite! lots of those experts on here.
From your List, gears, cam, headers sound nice but I am not a diablo fan for my own 2003 reasons LOL, but custom Tunes are a cool advantage. Good Luck with your plan.

Ive never dealt with tuners before. I guess Im just brain washed by others that claim they're the best. Advice on a tuner would help as well.

There are performance mods and faux performance mods.

Exhaust and cai are faux performance. They look/sound cool, but don't really do much for a stock motor. Tuner, headers (shorties for smog), cam, gears... in that order of cost to gain.

That's my opinion.

I put them at the end simply because of the cost. They are probably one of the most effective mods for our trucks. Unfortunately, they are also the most expensive.

All great info guys!

My only question us, what gears do I have? And how can I research that?

And whats a good ratio for average gas mileage and great torque?

I am guessing that you have the 3.55's...there should be a sticker on the axle that says the gear ratio. If you have the stock lsd you would have the 3.92's

congrats Henry!

And yeah - stick your head under the truck, you'll see a tag on the axle.
