It's not just the moly, it's across the board not redline. And yes metals have a useful life, I doubt moly is different. An example you might want to look at is calcium, at the end of a oci it is just about useless but the level is still read by the machine that reads uoa's. Even if moly was "worn" to be less effective, you would still see that level. Not only are all the levels off, the magnesium level is high compared to zero, redline doesn't even use magnesium, there is only hints of mag in redline uoa's.

The fact is across the board it isn't redline, there is not much more to say on it.

Mag is from gasoline - read here:

  • Exceptional Fuel Economy
  • Extreme Temperature Performance
  • Oil Breakdown Resistance for Long Oil Life

So look at the specs...

  • API: CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, CH-4
  • ACEA E9; JASO DH-2; Cummins CES 20086; Volvo VDS-4.5; Detroit Fluid Specification (DFS) 93K222, Caterpillar ECF-2/ECF-3, MAN M3575, JASO MA/MA2, Allison TES 439, MB-Approval 228.31
And what shell names t6.

SHELL ROTELLA T6 FULL SYNTHETIC DIESEL OIL

It doesn't mean you can't use it in a car, but it is technically a diesel oil. Read the page on t6, the oil was designed to battle low ash and soot as well things that happen in modern diesels. Many people use it in cars and motor cycles and other stuff as well. Do you see any Ram specs on your page?

Its the oil of choice for lots of diesels. I've used it VW, Benz, BMW. Just realized I've owned a few German cars.

Are you saying Beasts report is redline? Are you saying a reading of 350ish Mag is from gasoline? Why wouldn't it be in every other redline uoa?

Blackstone is saying that in their report explanation.

Read the words and Chart 6. - Top half wear, bottom additives found.

"so even with the lower iron, we can’t say it was better overall than the others"

So this one is for gas engines, if it says multi vehicle on the bottle.

Likely a very good choice to run, I have no issues. Some reports on the t6 page helping lifter tick, worth a shot.
