I about **** my pants just now. Started my truck and was sitting in it for a minute in my work parking lot next to the Railroad tracks. As I was sitting it I heard and I’m obnoxious knocking and instantly started to panic. cracked my door to listen for it..... Took me a minute to realize there was an old diesel semi on the other side of the tracks idling & knocking like a SOB

LOL!!!!!
LOL!! I had a similar incident the other day. Pulled up to a stop light with the windows open next to a mid 2000s Silverado. All I hear is this loud TICKING sound echoing off of the Chevy. I'm literally starting to sweat thinking things like "there goes a lifter" and "$7000 out the window" etc. The Silverado was in the left turn lane and he got the green arrow. As he accelerated the ticking got faster and then quieter as he pulled away. That's when I realized it was the Chevy and not my truck thank Christ

Contacted redline about fliud for the BW44-47. This is there response

Kyle,

Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, in the BW 44-47 a special fluid is called for, the specifications are not released and unfortunately at this point we don’t offer a cross for it.

Regards,

Dave Granquist

WTF Chrysler... not releasing the specs so we have to buy Chrysler fluid only. Go pound sand!! Im going to try my hardest to find something else.

Yup. I'm really tempted to just throw Amsoil MVATF in my 44-44 again and call it day. I used to be able to get that fluid on amazon for $20/qt and now its $29/qt. Allmoparparts.com has the fluid for $19 but they can't ship it because they don't have a hazmat shipping license.

However for you, you should be able to use C+ or any ATF+4 as yours is a manual tcase correct?

They are both chain driven. The cases are very similar, just actuated differently. I looked it up and posted info on it for Syn last week-ish.

From what i remember, what you posted was about the 44-46 and 44-47 being direct chain drive. And the 44-44 has clutches.

Ah yes, you are right. I don't have access to any Alldata info on the 44-44, only 6&7.

If amsoil can “clame” that their SSMV ATF will work in it that we know damb well that redline C+ATF will work too.

Hell the older BW transfer cases called for ATF +4.

I don't know if I'd make that claim or not. Someone on here said awhile ago that something was going on with their 4x4 with C+ that wasn't going on with Amsoil. Can't remember exactly what it was but I just wouldnt assume that they are interchangable. I'm not promoting or knocking either one, I'd just be causious about the C+ if it's not recommended.

It's only 32° here , I just drove through a Hardee's drive thru ( oil temp was only 115°) and my Hemi sound against the building wall 2feet away sounded butter smooth and quiet as a church mouse ....

Redline oil 3.5 qts of 5W-30 mixed with 3.5 qts of 10W-30 Redline with a RP10-48 Filter .
