I recently bought a 7,000+ pound trailer and I'd like to run a little cooler oil and coolant while pulling hills.
I can find/see no problems going with a 190 or a 195 (oem on the tradesman?) Is that small of change even worth doing? I figure running 10-15 degrees at cruising, I'll be lee likely to hit 225 coolant and 255 oil temps.
From what I've read, the 180 may cause a small drop in MPG when not towing and is most beneficial if you have a tune. I do not plan on getting one.
Also it sounds like there is no need to get the Mopar HOAT coolant. The Zerex is compatible and a lot cheaper. I do not plan on doing a coolant flush, but while/if I'm changing the thermostat, I'll drain out all I can and replace with fresh coolant.
