not sure we have any on here, but i know 2 guys with v6's and they get TERRIBLE mileage. like 16 highway (completely stock). its just too heavy a truck for that small of a motor. if you want a truck, get a hemi (it gets the best mileage of any of the engines). if you want mileage, get a 4cyl car.

I heard someone say that hemi's get 100hp more (than the 4.7) and better mileage. If so, it would be a win/win situation in mine and your's case..

yes the hemi has 100 more hp and better mileage than the 4.7. too bad he's talking about the 3.7. But you bring up a good point -- the 4.7 has more power and better mileage than the 3.7. So whats the verdict? The hemi has the best mileage of any of the Dodge engines, as well as the most power. I'm trying to figure out why they still put money into R/D of other engines.

i wish they'd take the R&D of the v6 and 4.7 motors and put it toward making a light duty cummins for the 1500's

my guess is, he didnt get the answers he was looking for in the other thread so he started a new one.

Tell ya what bud, get your 3.7L since you obviously want it. Make sure to stop back in when you realize you made a mistake and let us know.

Talking engine comparison, what if our beloved hemi's were 8.0L where would that leave the V10?

i'd be interested to find out. obviously they're two totally differently built engines. can you imagine having 20 spark plugs??

I meant keeping a v8 hemi block. I said before if they had offered the 3G as a SRT8 along side the SRT10 the truck with the Hemi and 6spd would have stole the show. I really like our trucks running full song.
