Hey guys i'm rolling 2 ideas here, first is the rectangular side exhaust idea (previous thread), but I'm more curious about dumping my exhaust. For you guys that have done this. What is the noise difference (inside the cab) before and after. I like my exhaust sound right now with the magna flows straight out the rear, but have to change my exhaust around due to my new roll pan. I'm not looking to sacrifice ride quality due to a loud exhaust. So whats the verdict here? Does dumping the exhaust closer to the cab make for a louder ride than my traditional straight pipe exhaust?

Its a little louder, and it will drone to a certain degree, but it depends on the muffler as well. My roommate had his dumped and then went to exit after the axle. To each his own, I've had mine dumped before the axle since I got the truck and I love it. Only issue I had was towing a trailer from MO to FL, and the drone got to the gf and made her sick.

I personally love it, mine is dumped before the axle and I have a 2 chamber flowmaster after the cutout and it's not loud at all

mine is dumped right behind the cab. it does drone a good bit at times. mostly a steady cruise around 50 mph is the worse.

I think having vinyl floors and a big toolbox in the bed make it worse.

Mine is dumped just behind the axle and only drones around 1500-1700 rpm but its not very noticeable
