Anyone who gets the tailgate assist. Save yourself the headache. Ditch the upper ball mount washer they give you and get one 3/8" x 1-1/2" fender washer (Home Depot sku 0000-590-720 $0.25). Use that instead. If not the upper shock end will contact your tailgate and make it rub. Then the cable will not tuck in properly and stick out through the gate when closed. It now works perfectly... Nice add-on... Thanks for the suggestion.

2003 hemi's do well with the TMR mod. (free)
Power wire (45)
180 T ($30)
eFan can be pieced together from a salvage yard for under $100
Debadge (elbow grease)
Kill switch for starter ($8)
Internal light/ding ding alarm eliminator ($8)
External ground kit (mostly stuff laying around the shop)
Various exhaust mods can be done under $100.
Tons of little things can be done for next to nothing.

Welcome, another 03! the TMR is "Torque Management Request" on the 03 the TCM is separate from the PCM and this wire can be cut eliminating torque management.

You disconnect the TM wire, it disables the Torque Management so engine power doesn't drop before every shift.

Where do you find those for 80 bucks? I've only found them for 160 the set.

Hm don't think I need this, my truck seems to run rich all the time for some reason after the 91 tune on superchips 3815, CAI, and LT headers
