So what exactly is deathwobble?
I've got an 03 1500 4x4, and I'm trying to track down a slight wobble at high speed.
I'm not sure when it started, but earlier this year, I took the truck up to 108 and it was stable, couple weeks later found out a front hub was ready to fall off though. Oops.
I usually drive it at 55-60 to and from work, and never noticed any problems, but about a month ago, I went on a long trip and discovered that it starts to wobble when hitting bumps in the road over 75, but tapers down, and at 90+ it will continuously wobble until I reduce speed.
To describe the wobbble, its like the whole body will roll from side to side, kind of harder in the back then the front, and oscillates around 2 times a second.
Is this what most call deathwobble? or is that more a blanket for any wobbles at all?
I got some new rear shocks on order, and hoping that may solve it.
Also hoping that it wont get worse when I go destroy this thing in the mud this weekend...
Thanks all.
