I recently purchased a 2005 Ram 2500 and I noticed at night I cannot see the wheel mounted cruise control switch labels. Are they supposed to be illuminated? The switches operate but do not illuminate.

I have an '08 Laramie which are painted on but not illuminated. I wish they were lit. Not good in the dark if you don't use them a lot.

My 2004 are not illuminated. It is a bit annoying but the more you use them the easier it is in the dark.
The issue is when the wheel is turned and the buttons are upside down and on the wrong sides.

The main issue with cruise control is all the people in front that slow down, stop, turn off which interrupt your flow and cause you to reset, revving the hemi from a stop and wasting fuel.

Silly that they aren't illuminated. At least they learned and my '14's are illuminated.

A lot of weird stuff on the 3rd gens isn't illuminated. The cruise controls, power mirror switches, the sliders for temp on the dual zone hvac, hell only like half the hash marks in the gauge cluster are actually illuminated.
