6.1 Cam worth it ?

for your truck? no, 6.1 has no low end which is what u need so i would def. look getting it reground or another cam

6.1 is never worth it...doesnt matter what kind of truck it is. there just arent enough gains to merit all the work/expense of doing the install. there are much more aggressive cams that put out much better numbers, but still run perfectly fine on the stock tune

it might be ok in a rc, but your mega would become a **** with that cam.

cheap as in like pay shipping , didnt think you could do a re grind on that cam ?

If its that cheap then get it and get it reground, otherwise get it and sell it for a bit more

You have seen my vids also.. mine is a 6.1 with a Spartan regrind which is more of a topend cam. Yes you will lose low end but the 6.1 cam is bout the same size as the comp 268 just on a wider LSA. Frogs grind is for trq mine is for hp. If you never go to the track then go with frogs grind and have a blast just know the power rolls in later on these.

i need low end ... as the truck is 8k pounds plus in weight . the 4:10's help but would like more umph

Wonder if you would get more out of bumping up to 4.56 gears to get the low end your looking for along with a Frog regrind and you will have the best of both worlds. I think one of the more aggressive trq cam is gonna be the KRC210X.

problem with the 210x is it requires custom tuning. The CrazyFrog does not

Anything with enough power it sounds like he is looking for will need a tune to keep the A/F correct. More or less it depends on what kind of money your looking to spend and what your using the truck for.

There are plenty of lowend cams that will run good on a canned tune, wont be perfect or tapping into its real potential but there are some out there that will give you a nice lowend without a custum tune.

RH do you even have a tuner for the tank?
