Shorties - better than stock all the way around. Slighty better gains (percentage-wise) down low over high end

Longtubes - better than shorties all the way around. better gains on the high end (compared to its low end), but the low end gains are still much better than the low end gains of the shorties.

does that make sense?

Yeah I have only really seen one set of LT's for the 2500's and they were custom made for about $1500.

RH - Since you cant go with the LT's (which would be my first choice by far) I'd go with the JBA's, their numbers are very impressive for shorties and then get a new Y pipe and muffler. Catbacks just make things look pretty and cost an arm and a leg

yeah dave that would be real easy to do. they sell turndown pieces you could weld or clamp on to the existing pipe. You could get a real nice sounding, free flowing exhaust for like $500-$600. so what are you waiting for? :D

Nah dont point it right at the ground, that bounces the sound off the asphalt and back up at your truck and either muffles it because of the pavement or increases the drone because of the feed back from it bouncing back up at the truck. Need to angle it slightly away from your tires and spare so its not pointing right at the ground. It'll make it a bit louder and keep the drone down inside.

I love the dumped sound and look it gives your ride.
