Long tube headers?

I have a couple questions regarding long tube headers and shorties, so my catalytic converter is failing on the driver side, it's got only a p0420 code no other code. I've changed out the sensors still came up. So I'm stuck in the middle between removing them and getting long tube headers or replacing them and also getting shorties installed in the process, but if I install long tube headers do I need to get the truck tuned? Or if anyone has had then installed did any codes pop up after the installment.

Yes it will need to be tuned and a new unlocked pcm module if yours is 2015 or newer

For long tubes a tune is recommended to get the most out of them. The computer should be calibrated for the added flow to make even more hp and tq.
