I use my truck for daily travel, no stop and go commutes, tow a camper couple times a months.

Thoughts?

mob 1(full syn)....use it for everyday driving, stop go traffic, long hauls, haul trailer with quads occasionally, and dump the jon boat in the gulf for some fishing....ive put on 25k in almost 2 yrs...

all of them are great oils , but mostly the same . so go with what ever is on sale at the time . i use mobil 1 and a k&n filter .

I ran the purp for two oil changes, and mobil 1 for two, I did not notice a single difference.
Mobil 1 is 25$ for 5 quarts at wal-mart. So mobil one it is.

I have used only Mobil 1 in my truck since I bought it new in December 2004. I had a mechanic that was working on a friends car recommend it to me and I have never had an issue. I use it in my wife's PT Cruiser too.

The truck and van are coming up on their first oil changes........probably headed to Wally world to get me some Mobile 1.

To finish it out I also use the Mobile 1 with a Mobile 1 premium filter.

Ok guys don't want to Hijack here but just something I noticed while at wally world today. I was shopping for some oil since I have a change coming up. I am using Royal Purple but its a bit expensive. And you guys all sugested mobil 3 syn. Ok so I was at Wally world and was gonna pick up 5 qrts and a filter. I noticed that there were 2 full syn Mobile 1's. A high mileage and a standard. What's the diff? I was just gonna grab the high mile stuff but wasn't sure. Same price just don't know which to choose.

i've got RP in there now just cause i felt like spending too much money. Its usually M1. filter is Wix unless the mobil 1 is on sale with the oil

Royal Purple is my favorite but I have never had a problem with mobile 1 syn either.

I don't use the Syn but I do use Mobil 1 5000 mile and Wix filter in the truck, and then Amsoil and Wix on the bike.
