Replacement parts are on order to fix my truck. After doing more checking on my P0303 misfire code, tossed a bore scope into the cylinder and saw parts of the piston missing. The ringland let go and bout 3/4 an inch made its way out of my exhaust. The cylinder looked good but the motor is getting pulled and inspected better once the replacement piston and rod show up. While its out my 6.1 regrind is gonna come out for a Crazy Spartan on a 112Lsa. Also a different verter and shift kit will be making its way to its new home.

Will do. Once the old cam setup is out I will be posting it for sale with everything needed minus new springs. That would be the cam along with custom fordged pushrods for it and a cam gear.

Nope trucks sitting in my yard still, only thing thats been done is bore scoped an a new set of plugs so I could move it a few feet to a different spot. Im sure to take alot of pics were planning starting either the 21st or 28th, all depends on when the cam shows up.

Tracking info shows the cam showing up friday unless something weird happens so the motor is getting yanked and played with on the 21st and 22nd.

Yeah someone will get a good cam to run on stock PCM or Superchips. I was happy with it and im sure im gonna miss its top end but I cant say for sure till this one is tuned. Apparently #3 piston is not uncommon for the ringland to let go because it was no suprise to everyone I talked to. After seeing a stock piston set up I undertsand why. Its only a 1/4 inch of material from the top ring to the top of the piston and they take alot of puinishment. Sadly stock set ups on stock tunes have been know to toss a ringland so its just one of those things that happens from time to time.

:Caffeine: Good Info will keep it in mind. Do your new pistons have the ring slots sitting lower on the profile to beef up that area without affecting combustion cc's (did I say that right?? Grade 9 education here! LOL.) So That said what kinda Pistons you gettin from Stu!

No I'm actually drying out. I got carried away friday night. ended up doing 115 mph. with my fat bob. What a **** I am!! Had I been pulled over I would probably be still waiting on bail!! I don't usually go out (too drink) But this one kinda creeped up on me. (me and two others had a bar in mind.) trouble was they were three different spots.lol
