Going to be embarking on this adventure next month, can only imagine how fun that will be in Houston heat. But I have a good bit of time off to hopefully get the whole truck done in one go, as well as adding in a few other modifications/upgrades.

@SoCal , just wanted to confirm, you said you purchased the mega boxes of dynamat (72sqft) and ended up purchasing 5 of them to complete the whole truck, for the Dynaliner it was 1 12sqft box of 1/2", 5 12sqft boxes of 1/4", 2 12sqft boxes of 1/8", and lastly for the Dynapad ~3-4 12sqft rolls (is what it looks like on amazon). Had you done the roof in 1/4" instead of 1/8", would that change your total boxes? Definitely will be referencing this thread and your DIY walk-throughs for doors and roof.

It’s been a while, but if memory serves, yessir on that box count.

Thank you much! Should be tackling this in a couple of weeks. I think I've probably read through this thread 3 or 4 times now just to help familiarize myself. Now if only the bandwidth out here would allow me to watch your youtube videos, I'd be all set! lol

Not completely awful overall.

The headliner definitely gave me the most issues. Had a few, oh f*ck what have I done moments.

I ended up taking the headliner out the driver rear door. I will say that the headliner is very resilient. Those ‘oh f*ck’ moments I mentioned were instances of me basically taco-ing a corner of the headliner maneuvering it out or when it first dropped from the roof unexpectedly after only removing the door seals on one side of the truck.

Very challenging process to do solo.

BUT with it out, laying on the floor, thankfully I don’t see any creases in the fabric.

Already not looking forward to putting it back in.

Man there is a lot of amazing work in this thread.

I hate that the 3G Rams have a largely solid inner metal door panel. I was able to sneak a bunch of Damplifier Pro into passenger door (It's my test door). Ignore that little wire, that was the crap from the previous owner.

Gosh dang this is a job.

Thankful to have the roof done and dynamat laid in the cab. Looking forward to working with the dynaliner.

Is it advisable to apply dynamat/dynaliner on the piller metal, or just on the piller covers (c and b)?

Mad respect and props to S0CAL for taking up this project and chronicaling it for others benefit! Couldn't have done it without all his info and pointers. This was a hell of a project especially for a solo install and I'm glad to be done with it!

After laying the dynamat, dynaliner, and dynapad, definitely took a little persuasion to get the carpet to sit back in how it should as well as getting some panels and seats lined up correctly to install, but it's all back together!

In spite of destroying my hands when doing the doors (damn sheet metal), the hours and hours and hours of tedious work, and gallons of sweat (thanks Texas) it's amazing the difference in sound or lack there of inside the cab. Doors are solid and shut with a satisfying thud. So satisfying.

Looks great! What color is your truck? I dig it.
