Need to match Subs to amp

Hello everyone, I recently received a free amp from my uncle for helping him do some work. Its the Kicker KX1200 Kicker KX1200.1 (40KX1200.1)Monoblock KX Series 2400W Class-D Amplifier
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew cab and I would like some suggestions for 2 10" or 12" subwoofers. Price range is around $600 tops for both subwoofers not including box. Thanks.

As far as sub size, that depends on what you want and how much room you have for the box.

That amp has an RMS of 1200 watts at 2ohm. So running either two subs that are 4ohm each or running one sub that is two ohm. You want something that can handle 1200 watts RMS.

Sonic Electronics is a good site, you can filter out from the list what your looking for in a sub.

You coil use either 2 dual 2 ohm voice coil subs or two single 4 ohm voice coil subs. Or one single 2 ohm sub.

The KX12001 will do 1 ohm, if OVP taken out can do 16v and down to .25 ohm...dis I know

Get two DVC 4's, wire for a 1 ohm load.

Take a look at Image Dynamics IDQ series. They do well in smaller air spaces and run in 4 or 2ohm DVC.
