UConnect Update

Today I received an email instructing me to look out for a UConnect update over the air. It's supposed to take 15-20 minutes to download, and another 50 minutes to install, so it would seem to be a substantial update. Mine hasn't happened yet. Has anyone gotten the update? What does it include?

I received the e-mail also. Waiting for the update.

I have received 3 emails since June and still haven't gotten the update yet. They told me it would be done by the end of August but still waiting.

Update

Just purchased a '17 Laramie in July and had nav. added by the dealership. Yesterday I got a notice on the screen that the update was available. I hit "later" a couple times, but then let it do its thing last night. It said that the presets and phone connection could be dropped, but it didn't happen! I haven't seen anything different, but it was convenient and painless! I read that if you keep hitting "later" eventually it'll just start the download. Better to do it when it is convenient for yourself!

Hi everyone,

The Over the Air update is currently being rolled out across the United States to qualifying vehicles, as some of you have already mentioned you should receive the an email prior to getting the pop up notification on your vehicle. If your vehicle is equipped with Uconnect Access connected services (you do not need an active subscription), featuring a built-in cellular connection, you may receive Over-the-Air Software Updates. Also, the vehicle must be located in the US and in range of a useable cellular network. If anyone has any questions please let me know!

Appreciate the follow up post. I do have a question though. As I'm sure you are already aware those of us with 32 gallon tanks are due for a software update because our tanks don't currently meter correctly. Will that update come the same way as this update or will it require going to the dealership?

At this time we don't have any information regarding how future updates will be released but we will be sure to share any information we receive as it becomes available!
