Nope, but putting it closer to it's powerband will help.
Not to sound like a douche, but some of us do know what we're talking about....
*1:1 gear ratio at 65mph. OD on a 46RE is .79:1, so actual rpm will be a tad lower*
You'll be turning around 17-1800 rpms at 65mph. That's pretty much lugging it. To get up ANY hill it's going to have to shift into kick down and that will heat up the transmission real quick and suck gas like a ****.
