So I've been spending most of the day debadging my tailgate and removing the big plastic protector. I got all the Dodge stickers off ok but I'm having trouble removing the scraps of 15 year old 3m tape that held the plastic on. I've tried Goo gone, a heat gun, and a combination of the 2. It's coming off ok but really the foam is coming off the adhesive on the paint side and the Goo gone isn't removing the adhesive. Any tips?

Yeah I don't have one of those. Do they make them to attach to a drill? The only ones I've seen are the snapon crudbuster and the like.

Do they have them at the hardware store or do I have to go to a specialty store?

I picked mine up at an auto parts store. I think it was NAPA. A hardware store may carry them too, but I'm not for sure.

Thanks for posting that Trip but it won't work for me due to the age.

Napa is the only place I've been able to find eraser wheels, and I think all of them stock em

you can also find an eraser wheel at places that sell auto paint. after removing the emblems off of my '01, i had no choice but to use the wheel. so easy and boy does the truck look better now.

Wat do these eraser wheels look like? When I removed the deflector from my sunroof, it left discoloring and some of the adhesive wouldn't budge! I tried goo-gone but still nothing lol Imma have to get one of these.

It doesn't harm the clear coat? I'll pick one up next week, I plan to remove the rest of that adhesive, then remove my door spears and the dodge pen stripping as well. Do I need to pull the pen stripping off first or will this wheel take it off also?
