Changed oil now truck won't run

Changed oil truck won't run. Ask connections are good mechanic reset check engine light truck ran fine. Stopped at the store went to leave truck went right back. Sputtering above 2000 rpm gauges going nuts. Any thoughts?

Check the oil and if it's ok disconnect the battery for a few minutes and retry it! I hope your truck has oil in it???

Is your oil gauge reading correctly on the dash? Do you have a check gages light on? If either of those, check fluid level, add if needed, drain if needed. It is possible you may have a bad oil pump if you have oil pressure at 0 or check gages light on. Report back with your findings.

Did it do this prior to service?

Why was check engine light on? Resetting without fixing the problem is not a good idea. Could be your issue.

My best guess is the alternator is failing.
