46re issues!

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 has 107k original miles with the 5.9 gas my old trans burnt up so I installed a new one. and now I still can't drive it
When I start the truck and put into gear(any gear besides park) the motor does . If I rev the heck out of the truck I'm able to take off and go down the road. And then I don't have over drive,
I don't have any check engine codes, and the od light is off. I have looked and looked and can't find anything on these issues . can someone please help me?

Does what? So it takes a lot of rpm to get moving? What year trans did you install? Did you delete the cooler line check valve? What's your fluid level?

Not positive, but I think it might be a typo. Maybe should read, DIES, not "does". It's a little frustrating. You want to help some of these OP's but misspellings and poor grammar gets in the way of fully understanding what they are trying to say.

I'm sorry guys. I ment dies when I put into gear, my phone types what it wants sometimes. Fluid level is perfect. I haven't removed the check valve yet. Not sure if that will help and its a trans from a 99.

Not a problem. Just gotta get as accurate info as possible to help you with your issue lol. Transmissions are finicky. According to the guys here I'm the trans guy and i really don't know a ton :roflsquared:

Since it's a 99 in an 01 though, did you replace the governor sensor with the 2000+ transducer?

Start with that then as well as fluid and filter change and band adjustment. However, on the band adjustment, back it off 4 turns instead of the 2/2.5 the service manual says.

It's highly possible but i can't be for sure. But it won't work properly period with incorrect parts inside so that's where I'd start

Crank sensor code showed up. Replaced and fixed my issues
