should not take too much effort to push the gas all the way down. sounds normal. new cars are even worse.

I might go inspect behind the pedal to see if anything is wrong. It has great response just worried a bit cause it has play

if there is slack in the line that is a bit different than being able to push the gas pedal easy. new cars take no effort at all to push the gas which kills my ankle. you can possibly do the zip tie mod to get the slack out of the cable. it is a real simple mod.

Do tell. And my throttle cable is way out there my pedal has 1 inch before it hits the ground.

usually you lift the gas pedal up and put zip ties on the throttle cable until slack is gone but if there it too much slack it would probably be a better idea to just replace the throttle cable.

My throttle feels exactly like he describes, and replacing the cable didn't make any real change. One of these days I'll climb back under there and do something about the tension. Zip ties sound like a good idea for it.

I know I have about a good 2-3 inches of cable coming out of the firewall

that is why i like older dodges. the throttle cable adjustment is under the hood. no zip ties needed lol. if you got 3" of cable sticking out then i think your cable might be stretched to the point it would be a good idea to replace it. i think if you need more than 3-4 zip ties you probably should replace it but i guess the worst that could happen is the cable would snap and leave you stranded in traffic

I'll just have to see my connections at the TB as well to see if anything seems to be loose.
