I have a 2004 1500 2wd single cab. You think a 3 inch suspension lift and 33s would look good? Also you think 35s could clear?

I have a friend with a 2003 QC 1500 2wd with a 3" lift and larger tires - bought it in California and it was marketed as a "California Off-Road" package and done by the dealer he bought it from (or something like that, been a long time since he explained it). It looks pretty decent on his truck.

2wd lifted looks the same as a 4wd lifted. Lifted reg cabs are the bomb! Though... I may be a little biased :naughty:

33s should fit with a front leveling kit. I could fit 33s now (stock) if I wanted to, but I'm holding out for 35s... possibly 37s.

If I remember correctly, a 3" lift on a 2wd should work for 35s. 2wds sit 1" lower than a 4wd, and 4wds can fit 35s with a 2" level on stock 20s. So, in theory, with a 3" lift you should be good if you have 20s, or appropriately backspaced rims (4.5" or less).

So... takeaways:
35s and 3" lift with OEM 20" rims or backspaced rims should fit.
Yes it will look good with either 33s or 35s.
Post up some pics of your truck when you can! :D

I don't think I have the appropriate backspacing, I have 17inch wheels I think(and they are stock).... but if I don't have the backspacing requirement what is a way I can get it without buying new wheels?

I'm running a 7" maxtrac as well. I have a qc 2wd. This kit allows 17" stock wheels to mount back on with plenty of space. I love this lift. Mine came with bilsteins all the way around.

You could get 1.5" wheel spacers. Right about $200 for top of the line quality for all 4.

What size tires are you running? Wish I could have that kit on my truck.

35 x 12.50 x r17 general grabbers. This kit is awesome. I definitely recommend it.

That's the size I want... How much those red letters set you back a tire? Been doing a lot of price shopping lately. And.. I'm a 4wd so I can't have the cool kits :( lol

Lol I got them from discount tire, spent about $1400 total with warranty and all. Something like $300 a tire. Yeah lifting a 2wd is a hell of a lot easier.

Maxtrac 4.5" spindle lift here with 20s wrapped in 35s no issues. Debating to get other parts needed to make it a 7" or just do a body lift and then advance to 37s...decisions

Don't do it!!! Never do a body lift! I hate them with a passion! Lol. All you need is the coils and blocks to make it a 7".

I agree with Derek body lifts are cheap and only useful if you've gone as high as you can on suspension lifts. Do the coils.
