Looking for thoughts, I was quoted $399 to install 5100s on all four corners. Does this sound like a decent price?

To be clear this is just labor. I can buy all four shocks for $313 w/ free shipping from Amazon.

My local dealership quoted me $456 for install of all four, but they will only install if I buy from them. I'm waiting to hear their price on parts, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna lose the price war.

Although, I may go with the dealer for warranty reasons...

Ask them if they will give you a better deal on labor if you buy from them. Normal labor rate at my shop is $110 but $75 for install of mopar accessories. Service department pretty much tries to cut a deal because they know parts department is over priced.

So I guess $500 to install the Bilsteins and Mevos on the front, alignment and 1 inch spacers on the back is a really good deal?

My local dealer wanted $400 to install the front shocks only, 4 hour job.
I paid a buddy $80. :favorites13:

This has come up before. And my opinion is $300 or less would be a fair deal for both parties. I would install them for $200 and a pack of beer.

Some guys think $500 is fair.

Some people by parts because they say mopar on it.

For everything. Minus alignment.

Dang, that's pretty good pricing. Too bad you aren't in STL!

I'm thinking of purchasing the lifetime alignment from Firestone for $189.99. I had it for my last truck and it paid for itself. I may ask them for a quote on install as well to make it a one stop shop for this upgrade.

Definitely the best/smartest thing to do. I did the same thing for alignments and wheel rotate/balance.. Unlimited for a year. I didn't do the lifetime because they said it's only for the vehicle, not transferable. But still.. I have $150ish invested and within the past 3 months I've had 3 alignments, 2 tire balancing.. And getting new wheels in a few days... So theres another... Then the lift.. Its almost stupid not to get that deal.

That's a fair price. Where are you located? I see you are in GA. I get mine done a little cheaper than that.
