Are you planning on doing the automatic leveling with the ride tech height sensors?

No Im not. The Airlift 3 P That i bought has like 5 presets, Im just going to preset them.

What i dont like about the height sensors is the externally mounted linkages.A lot of mercedes, bmw, and Lexus vehicles i work on have them and they are seized/broken/snapped off because of the road salt use around here. Seeing as this is just a daily truck, im gonna pass on that headache.

I suppose up in Canada that road salt is a problem.

I too am interested in how it turns out... If I ever drop down to 20's I want to go 1" lower all around and I think I'm pretty much at a 3/5 drop as I prettu much ride on the bumps or close to is but yet still drives and handles well. Nothing where I would like it hence why I'm looking for more performance and such....

Thanks for taking the plunge so the rest of us can learn from your road blocks

My old Yukon XL had this problem with the factor air shock.... That was in 01, I'd hope that they'd have figured out by now but they haven't I guess.

Now on the kit your installing, this is the system that you have to notch the frame upfront right?

Sort of. You have to cut out the corner of the frame where the bump stop sits. I'm not a big fan of it myself.

I have no problem hacking and welding on the frame but i want more out of it than just to fit a airbag to make it worth it for me. To me I'm already there i might as well take care of the arms, steering and such to address the modified height and correct the geometry. I tend to take things all the way when i dont have to. Like to plan all bases that way im not surprised when i find issues later

Its a simple pocket trim. Like a 5 minute job per side.

If I didnt live in a salt enviroment, I would just 4 link the whole truck, notch it, and rework the whole front end. But im not going to drop 10k into that setep then destroy it in the winters here.

I have no issues cutting up frames, every single one of my trucks has frame modifications

I really just don't like the idea of cutting on a frame for something that should be a relatively simple operation. Unless you're going full custom, cutting the frame says to me that you've failed to design a proper system.

But that's why I want to see it on someones truck with a full review, installation, etc. I'm super excited to see what you come up with because I REALLY want to do air on all four corners.

ahahah sorry guys. Im going on Vacation next week, so install will likely happen after the 14th...in the meantime i'll be installing all the air management to get that setup.

Heres the truck BTW. just did some basic **** yesterday. Added the Corsa, intake, did all the Bulbs, RT grille, took of the badges. At the shop today im installing all the hellwig front and rear bars, along with my Spohn control arms in preperation to the ride tech being installed shortly.

body shop picks up the tailgate, antenna base, and they have the front grille off to be shaved.

I know the feeling, I have all the Spohn parts, wheels to paint, rear swaybar link parts to fab and I have Truck Boss and Crew Boss training to get my certs from the Fire Marshall for the next 2 weeks and then I'm out of town for the Good Guys Car Show in a town about 2 hours away from me. I hate having parts to install and no time to install them
