So many fun things I'm finding out how to do to my new ram. Did the driver side today....just need to tape it in place. Gotta find the passenger side wires to do that side next.

Just ordered the kit from AllMoparParts.com

Can't wait to install. Looks like a nice upgrade mod for my express.

Lights have arrived and they come with a small bezel. Should make for a cleaner install. Will post pics after install.

Installation was easy. Thanks for the instructions. The kit with the small snap in bezels (see above) make it a breeze.

Drivers side, I just untapped the harness for slack and slipped it into the hole behind the OBD2 port. Pushed the bezel in from the other side till it locked in and done. Holds in place great.

Passenger side. Cut out small rectangle in carpet cover. Enlarged slightly to accommodate bezel and snapped in. Bezel holds in place.

Well worth the $45 and an easy installation.

The passenger side isn't supposed to be in that recessed area. I learned that one the hard way.

Uh oh. What can I expect? Now I'm worried.

Plenty of light and clearance with the glove box is good.

Just ignore me. Looking again at the picture the recessed area I was talking about is just to the right of where you put it. It just doesn't illuminate like it should if you put it there.

$45 for the kit - OK.

$17.10 for shipping - f'ing ouch!

It's cheaper to pay list at my local dealer. :wtf:

It's odd to me that the factory lights for the trucks are the LED assemblies when the truck was obviously designed to accommodate the Jeep ones that were mentioned. My 300 has the LEDs and I hate them because I've replaced everything else with cool white LEDs and they don't match.

Anyway, Chrysler recently gave the Jeep ones a new part number and a major price cut. If it wasn't clear from the earlier posts, they're completely plug and play as they use the same connector. The new p/n is 68305400AA and you can get them for less than $7 each. It's s no-brainer IMO.

Can I tap into the footwell harness to just run other led lights? I bought small ones on amazon and I was going to tap into the dome light but if I can tap these harnesses that would be better

I'm inclined to say yes. I'm not sure how much current the truck wants you to draw on that circuit, but I briefly had incandescent bulbs in mine while I was waiting for LEDs and there were no issues. You'd have to add quite a few LEDs to be equal to those current-wise, so I think you'll be OK.

I used the P/N from the footwell lights on my 02 TJ to put footwell lights in my 2014 Express. Plugs right up and works without issue. I wanted my LED bulbs to all match (Dome and footwells) that's the only reason I did it.

Yes you can just tap into the oem wire harness and run LED strips, very simple to do. I'm running my red footwell lights, as well as my door sill lights off them. No issues

Thanks to who posted about using Grand Cherokee lights.
Got theses for free at the salavage yard and used plastic rivets left over from my Jeep days.

just put mine in. they were $6 each from dealer. Used 194 led bulbs to match my overhead. Why they didnt put these in the factory on a 40K truck is beyond me.
