No, the Mopar ones, at least the LED ones, is a somewhat yellowish light, similar to the stock dome lights. The bulb type ones (the Jeep ones as other have called them) would be similar with thier stock bulbs, but you can put led bulbs in them to change the color.

I just installed the Jeep pods, part #68305400AA, $11.90 ea from the dealer, it took almost 10 minutes...almost. As everyone has said, very easy install. I picked up a couple of the "Christmas Tree" fasteners, popped right in on the driver side, wire was literally just hanging there. On the passenger side, I removed the side panel in the wheel well to find the wire and the the upper felt/carpet to install the pod. I used a Philips head screwdriver to poke 2 holes, one for the light tower and one for the fastener. I also used a "Christmas Tree" fastener on this side, but I also used a fender washer on the back of the felt to really lock it in. These did include the bulbs, but I replaced them with 194 LED to match the rest of my interior lighting. The absolute hardest part was removing the included bulb, it's like doing the map lights.

Ordered mine yesterday and some led 194's like I used in my plate lights so hopefully by this Friday I'll have mine installed. Then it's to the backseat for under seat lighting

Awesome! I’m looking for the under dash panel/pads for mine. Help to deaden the sound of the motor for the a/c.

Any ideas on part numbers?

I decided to try the footwell light install and had hoped to find a deal on the Grand Cherokee Light sockets but opted for a much cooler idea in my opinion. LOL

I went to a junkyard and was hoping to find the clips to plug right into the Ram 2500 harness for the footwell lights but had no luck finding a new enough vehicle either. I ended up yanking the trunk light sockets from a couple of Dodge Neons and then just soldered the ends of each wire so they were hard and plugged them directly into the harness and some shrinkwrap to keep things clean.

I pushed the drivers side light through the larger square hole and zip tied the part sticking out and then slid on a rubber washer to clean up the look. For the passengers side I followed your instructions to take off the cover and found the harness just inside the top edge of the foot panel and did not even have to take that panel off. I then put a small hole in the round indent where the Jeep light socket would have gone and then put a small rubber washer over the Dodge Neon light socket, pushed it through the hole and then added another rubber washer to lock iit in place. I then stuck the wire directly into the light harness plug and tested out the lights before reinstalling cover. I then took out the regular bulbs I was testing with and installed some cool looking 30 lumen blue T-10 LED bulbs I bought from Amazon
Amazon.com: VLEDS 2pcs Blue 194 T10 2825 360° Long Life 1 LED Bulb: Automotive

They look super cool and are not overpowering. For a brighter look I was going to use the 100 lumen Amazon.com: SiriusLED Super Bright 1 W LED Bulbs with 360 Degree Projection for Car Interior Lights Gauge Instrument Panel Dome Map Side Marker Door Courtesy License Plate T10 168 192 194 2825 W5W Blue: Automotive but I decided to try the V-led Bulbs first and I think I am happy with them. 20181102_112517.jpg 20181102_112751.jpg 20181102_130836.jpg 20181105_151127.jpg 20181105_151155.jpg

Thanks SETEX 6.4, It was kind of fun and very easy. I kind of liked going to the junkyard in Mesa, Arizona. I was a bit scared of leaving the new truck out in front. LOL

I forgot anything newer than 10 years old out here never makes it to a junkyard though so had to find anything with a socket that had a slot type bulb. I dug around the old Dodge cars and the trunk light from the Neon's were perfect and had a cover that I could have modified to cover a brighter bulb and diffuse it if needed. I added a few more pics of the light socket...20181107_213042.jpg 20181102_112456.jpg 20181102_112503.jpg 20181102_130858.jpg

I agree. It's fun doing little projects like these.

I want to purchase the connector to mate up with the existing plug under the dash to keep it looking clean and as factory as possible (just like what was done above by pulling from junkyard) does anybody know where I can buy this connector online?

Ah the door sill lights. Well they are ridiculously overpriced. I got those from Recon ... just a heads up, if you live in an area that gets snow, or use a lot of salt, it will short out the lights. I have a 2nd pair I have yet to install, been thinking of putting some type of clear tape on them, but have yet to do it.

Just installed the Jeep footwell lights in my 2017 Ram 1500 express QC. Took all of 10min and that included fumbling around for the pass side wiring. It was just out of sight tucked in behind the side plastic kick panel that pulls right off. I didn't have to remove the upper fiber covered panel. I just punched a hole through it with an awl to insert the light housing stem through. On the driver's side, I used a plastic push plug fastener (xmas tree?) to secure it. I paid ~$28 shipped from eBay.

Yep. They do the nice fade out, along with the overhead lights and can be clicked on manually with the dimmer switch. Like said, it's unreal these don't come standard on a $40K+ truck that has all the wiring and mounts already there.

ok. My sport already has footwell lights.

Mine had them oem too, but this past weekend I switched them to these. I put a bright white led in them but you can use any color. If you leave that white cap/cover on they aren’t much brighter than you have now. If you leave it off they are about 3 times brighter or more.
