Wow, I wish my truck looked that clean. Damned rust really did a number on the panels on mine this year. At least the frame is still pretty clean. Despite dropping some heavy cash on the Duratracs and my Ranch Hand (awaiting installation!), I'm sitting much better financially than I anticipated. It is way high time to do some body work before rust turns to holes...

Also, what color is that? Hunter Green? Looks like the same silver second-tone like mine, which, if I ever repaint my truck, will probably disappear. Like pops, I'm kind of a single-color person, LOL.

That company that you cited, they aren't the same guys that make those "Outlaw" bumpers that I spotted here, are they? I gave serious thought to replacing the entire bumper but I trust the Ram OEM unit a hell of a lot more than other OEM "bumpers," hence why I opted for a simple grille guard, the grille area being a major weak point in our trucks. I've seen what foam-backed plastic bumpers do in a deer hit: **** all of nothing. If my dad had any sort of front-end protection on his old Expedition, he'd still have that truck. Seems our second-gen steel bumpers don't do half too bad. They bend and warp pretty good but they don't just totally give up and let the obstacle just barge through and destroy everything. Plus, what can I say, the grille guard on top of the OEM bumper just looks awesome. Looks very "blended," almost like it came from the factory which is just the look that I like.

Thx but it's far from clean. The right angle and lighting and it looks sexy but cab corners are gone, 3 wheel wells are trashed and rockers are pretty riddled. Color is PG8 Forest Green, bottom i think the color name is Driftwood Silver or Driftwood Satin. Both are my oem combo though it's been repainted once already due to rust. I'm in western Iowa myself so i know you know the struggle. You can see the a hole who just used bondo on all the original rust also cheaped out on his paint costs but moving my paint line up 2 inches

I have no idea about that outlaw brand, this is what i was talking about

Well I sold my flatbed. Guy came to buy the h1 wheels and buy the flatbed off of it for $900, decided to buy the whole thing. I could've made more on her by sitting patiently and parting out, but I paid $1450 for her two years ago or so, and definitely got my use. Ended up selling it for $1500 with only reverse.

Pics for my memories as it was ready to be hauled away.

No lift, just the factory 4x4 package, you cant really see it be there is a jack holding the truck up about 4 inches over its usual height.

The tires are 265/75/16 Kumho Road Venture.

Anyone do any dash work on their trucks? I looked at new dashes or accents but both seem quite difficult.

I've done a new dash. Pretty happy with it overall, not quite as nice as the LMC stuff but not horrible

Yesterday morning my heater core died and completely fogged up my windshield for about 6 miles. Smelled antifreeze bad. Oddly no leak on the floor, oh well. Signed some time and left work an hour early to get a jump on it. Started at about 4:45 and finished at about 7. Couldve been smoother but oh well, she works! Next on the agenda is build the new headlights i have coming, swap turn signal bulbs and get the exhaust routed from the over axle dump to out of the factory location

There's a few products out there. Black cat makes gauge face replacements is various colors, LMC offers a few items. Ferrous industries offers stainless trim or powder coated.
Learn a skill and hydro dip...or grab some spray bombs and have at it...like this crazy fool did!

^ That looks really cool. When the warm weather comes around, I might have to have a go at something similar. Maybe I'll opt for something chromey to give it an old school look.

Finally got my Ranch Hand brush guard installed. Looks pretty awesome. Lead guy at the shop commented how heavy it was. Took a few pictures but they all turned out like crap. I should really get a decent camera rather than relying my old cell phone with scuffed lens cover, LOL. Well, here's one for curiosity's sake...

Note the zip-tied license plate. Apparently the guard didn't come with a provision to bolt the plate onto it? I thought that it did. I'll check things out but not today. Negative ****ing wind chills all weekend, so I ain't taking one step out of the house if I don't REALLY need to, LOL. I hate it when Iowa winters decide to get serious.

Now it's time to get a truck box and new nerf bars (passenger side one rotted off long ago). Think I'll stick to the black look. I like chrome but black really blends into green quite nicely. Plus it's a crapload cheaper.

YESSSSSSS
Welcome to the club.

As for the license plate, mine is just on the factory mount only 1/4 covered by the lower bar. Been that way for the entire 7 years I've owned it and no hassles from the cops.

Yeret, do you have the extended cab or single cab? I have some single cab nerf bars black from my flatbed, you could have them, just pay for shipping. I think they will fit on extended cab truck too, just might look a bit silly if you have the rear half doors.

Well when i did my efan conversion, i made studs to hold the water pump pulleyto pull the mechanical fan off. Slipped, stud fell behind the pulley. Said screw it, bought the tool. Finished the job, been driving it around for several weeks like that (lol). So today i changed the pump. While i had everything apart, i swapped temp sensors for my fan controller. Was running a 180F and now it's a 195F. Much better heat because the engine actually gets warm enough to open the thermostat. Also with the negative temps we've been having i went ahead and ordered a winter cover for the grille.

Other than that ive slowly been finishing up my exhaust. Just welding tips up to the tailpipe ends with my new oxy-acetylene setup. Few issues with the tips being double wall but otherwise much happier with it vs my harbor freight flux-core unit lol

I've actually use Barkeep's Best friend, a bucket of water and two rags to surprisingly good results. The Mountaineer's headlights were yellowed to hell and I used this setup. If the one wasn't cracked and had a bunch of condensation on the inside you'd swear that they were new.

What did you order for a cover? Man, I need to get one something awful. Driving around, my temp gauge just barely cracks the first tick mark and my heat has suffered major as a result. Hell, it gets so cold my overdrive refuses to engage so I've spent most of the week driving the highway with overdrive off. Even crusing 2,500 RPM does nothing to warm things up.

I suspect that the higher crusing RPM finished off my already-screwed muffler. Leaving work, I started the engine and it sounded like a tractor. Got home, looked underneath and tada! Muffler/tailpipe is no longer connected to the intermediate pipe. Have to admit, it sounds kinda beastly north of 2,500 RPM but I don't think the local coppers are going to like it as much, LOL.
