Okay, it's not just a damn drag truck and I'm not gonna have it in 17's looking like a ******* skateboard. I've said it a dozen times, I want a street driven pro touring truck that CAN do strip duty or highway rolls.Low is low, its for whatever you want it to be, bags if done right are for everything, your truck is whatever you build it to be...
Ok well your 750hp motor is still a dream, and you are proving you dont know enough about this and need to educate yourself more, your askijg if a tire size can hook up, its not the size of a tire, its the compound of the rubber, if you fulfill your dream of 700+ hp and really wana race you will not be running a big rim, you will have a 17" race rim with drag radials on it, you keep going in circles, if your going to race the truck you wont be rotating tires, you wont have the same setup front and rear, but none of that is a concern untill you are in the ballpark of fulfilling your dream, you dont have the truck yet, and untill you get to owning the truck and are in your build you are wasting your breath, by the time you get to building your dream alot can change, and as far as you wanting to build a 4th gen ram now, you will have to take that to the 4th gen section, you need to focus on the truck you have now, if you want to build i lt and have questions on it we can help you but arguing with people who know about this stuff and debating with us when you have no experience wih lowered vehicles and dont ven have the vehicle you are arguing anout is doing nothing but wasting everyone's time
OBVIOUSLY the tires would be swapped for something suitable on the strip but the daily/track tire has to be the same size all around and a minimu size to not look like -as I stated- a ******* skateboard.
And yes, compound is the most important factor. But two r888's in the same overall dimension, one for a 20" and another for an 18", well, that 18 is more likely to hook and grip better due to softness, and sidewall flex, from what I've researched. It'll also be more heat stable due to the increased surface area and mass.
But another reason I'm concerned about tire sizing is that THERE AREN'T ANY PERFORMANCE COMPOUNDS IN GOOD SIZES FOR TRUCKS! At least not full sized trucks. And all the mid sized trucks aren't that good looking and don't come with good V8's like a coyote, LS, or Hemi.
But yeah, sure. Everything about what I'm asking, saying, and trying to learn about is a waste of time, including myself. Guess there's no point preparing or figuring things out ahead of time! :/
And I'm not building this damn truck, I don't want a quad cab, it can't turn and it's a pain to park. I'm getting what I really want. A 4G SCRB. Not even gonna screw around with building a 3g for this.
