Direct measurement oil life indicators measure the condition of the oil -- the opposite approach to the system described above. This method uses sensors to sample the oil and determine its remaining life based on any of the following:

  • Conductivity -- how easily electric current passes through the oil (typically, the lower the electrical resistance, the more contaminants are in the oil)
  • Mechanical properties -- piezoelectric sensors can tell how thick the oil is by the force feedback it gives when sloshing around
  • Soot concentration -- dirty oil's days are definitely numbered
  • Presence of water -- water is an impurity in oil, since it hampers the oil's effectiveness and can corrode metal surfaces
Breath dog Breath, you sound so angry I worry for your child. Keep that hate away from him/her. Hopefully when you are done key board warrioring you can put that hate away, lol.

Let's be honest this has nothing to do why you are mad, lol. You are mad because I made the cardinal sin of telling the truth about your angel juice Amsoil. Even when presented with video proof, you still don't discuss it at all, just make a never ending string of personal attacks. Nobody would ever accuse me of being passive aggressive.

Hilarious. Trying to skirt the issue with even more ********. If you took my last post as a personal attack, you need to grow a pair. Who's not willing to discuss what? Where is your defense? No proof. Instead, you try to change the narrative.

pas·sive-ag·gres·sive
adjective
adjective: passive-aggressive
  1. of or denoting a type of behavior or personality characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others and an avoidance of direct confrontation, as in procrastinating, pouting, or misplacing important materials.
I'll break it down for you: It has been proven and discussed at length many times that there is no oil-monitoring sensor. You don't argue that in any way, but still indirectly mention that there is such a sensor. Over and over. As if you've never heard any different. That is the definition of passive/aggressive.

Hahaha! SPELL dog, SPELL. Breathe, dog, breathe. There, fixed it for you. Keep posting more and more nonsense, none of it applies to the Ram. Blah blah blah. People aren't stupid. Everyone has google. You should consider that before copying and pasting the first word that comes up with a hit for your broad search.

You are beyond pathetic, dude I never mentioned Ram OLM or hemi, or 4.7 or Cummins, just general. Go back and re-read tool. It was a general conversation about olm versus lab, and you infer something that I didn't say. Seek Help, there is something not right with your life dude that you are this sad.

The unintended, or intended I don't know, consequence of having a multi level marketing system to sell your oil is it creates bullies. Because sales are dependent on salesman making a pitch, either they become zealots, or they influence the consumer so they become zealots. This Thread has seen it repeatedly with the same group of people.

This is copy and pasted, and I included the last sentence not to besmerge the oil. But this is ridiculous, this stalker is tanking the thread on purpose...

First, let’s talk about the elephant in the room…

The Truth About AMSOIL
Why are people on the internet so passionate about AMSOIL?

The reason is simple: AMSOIL products are distributed by independent dealers approved by AMSOIL.

This is also known as a Multi-Level Marketing company or MLM. Other famous companies that operate using this model include Advocare, Amway, Avon, Herbalife, Mary Kay and many more.

But first, a little back story…

Back in 1972 AMSOIL produced the first API-qualified synthetic motor oil. However, at the time consumers had no desire for a more expensive synthetic engine oil, so AMSOIL devised a new marketing strategy.

They decided to create a “Dealer Network” of salesmen to help sell the product to their friends and family members.

In fact, it was this MLM strategy that helped AMSOIL grow into the brand it is today.

Starting in 1973 AMSOIL was sold exclusively by independent dealers that could help sell the benefits of using a synthetic oil. Not surprisingly, the new strategy worked.

So, how does the whole MLM thing work?

AMSOIL dealers pay a yearly membership fee to receive products at wholesale pricing then sell them to their customers at retail prices. This, of course, is how retail business models work.

However, what makes AMSOIL different is that the authorized dealers also receive a commission on the sales of other dealers below them in the pyramid.

That’s why AMSOIL dealers are not only are passionate about selling oil, but they want you to start selling AMSOIL as well.

So if you are searching for information about AMSOIL online and keep finding articles from AMSOIL dealers, this is why. They make money if they can convince you to buy their oil and become a dealer in the process.

In our research we found it difficult to have an honest conversation with AMSOIL dealers about the difference between AMSOIL, Royal Purple and Mobil 1 because they are financially biased. Since they make more money selling AMSOIL, it is a no-brainer that they would stand up for their brand whether it is superior or not.

Of course, just because AMSOIL is an MLM company does not mean that they sell bad oil.- that is why they left the back story in...

That was a personal attack if I have ever seen one. Talk in circles much? LOL! What a douche. Nice walk-back. I would be more than happy to compare the accomplishments in my personal, social, and professional life with you any day. Nothing to be sad about here.

Anyhow, as usual, you're never going to admit when you're wrong. Just keep posting fake news and I'll keep proving you wrong. It's fun for me :)

You are having fun by yourself, probably a common activity for you. Because nobody in this thread appreciates your attacks. In fact, I have random people that do not participate in this thread because of you, and they said as much. Valuable Ram Forum members who have very much to add. I never attacked you personally unless you made it personal first, so go ahead and take the last insult this time, but you continue to do your credibility and Amsoil's credibility no favors.

Who cares? I don't like their dealership model either. I could easily become one if I did. Their products have never let me down and I'll keep using them until they do. The fact is, they are the only American boutique oil company left that is privately owned and operated by the family that started it over 40 years ago. Never had to have big brother bail them out like the rest. They must be doing something right.

This was never about Amsoil anyway. I don't care who likes it and who doesn't. I do. I'm definitely not sponsored by them. I wish I was, I'd be a few thousand richer! This rift between you and I is about your willingness to spread factually incorrect whimsical nonsense and then change the subject when proven wrong.

LMAO!! The teacher must have just poked her head out the door! You sure did turn from the playground bully to the professional victim in a hurry! That's bordering on multiple personality disorder. Good job! Oh, if you could only read my PMs... lol You give yourself far too much credit. As if anything you say has any bearing on my credibility... nor does Amsoil need my help other than me buying copious amounts of their products. Check. Run a long now.

There is no you and I, there is no thing between me and you. I'm the dude that participates on Ram Forum and you are the one who stalks me. Smiley wont ban you, and that is the sad fact, because obviously you would rather make **** up in your brain and make personal attacks like you did again today, then actually talk about oil. I'm sure your momma is proud, wow you really showed that evil Burla? Your are no sweat on me, but there is no way as sick as you are that your brain stops your anger when you shut the key board.

This is precisely why I have a problem with you. There is no "oil monitor that tests the oil but not the tbn". Never has been in any Hemi engine. That was only true for some cars that Chrysler built in conjunction with Mercedes back in the late 90s, but never in any Ram. Even in the vehicles that did have it, they stopped production in 2004. I posted the info yesterday in response to syn's post and have several times in the past.

This has already been addressed several times and you keep asserting that there is some type of oil-monitoring sensor. There is not. Please stop with the passive/aggressive ********. If you absolutely believe you are right, then show the proof that it exists.

All sensors have part numbers. There isn't one with a name or description anywhere near what you're saying. Alldata also has system and sensor descriptions for everything. It does not exist.

You seen the edmunds post, OLM's do test oil via sensor. I never mentioned Chrysler, it was an assumption by you. It is a conversation about OLM's and Labs, but you are so small you make **** up in your brain in order to throw tantrums, true to your avi name I guess.

He won't ban me because I have actual knowledge and personal experiences to contribute and you have a keyboard. That's it. There's a huge difference in the worth of our posts that you obviously cannot see.
