Any good pics out there? Thanks!

My neighbor already came over and wanted to know if I could pull some logs out of his back yard! I said “man I don’t know one thing about operating a WARN winch”. Guess I’ll read up on it tonight.

Thanks!

My wife got her car stuck in deep snow after slipping off the road on ice this week about 1/4 of a mile from the house up on our steepest section of private dirt road which has about a 15% to 20% grade. The car was blocking the exit through the gate. Anyhow, got up there with the Power Wagon which was already equipped with a heavy 25' tow chain, 30' recovery strap, 20' tow strap, and a rear hitch recovery shackle. Quickly realized due to the steep terrain on a narrow road that I needed to use the winch with a much shorter strap.

Just purchased this winch equipment for the next in home vehicle rescue. No pictures of the rescue, but here's me straightening out the gate with the winch last year after a deer had collided head on into it.

On 35” tires, I winch a lot. Don’t normally stop for pictures if I’m blocking a road or trail, or recovering somebody else who is.

That's awesome! Think about it, if you were by yourself, what would you do without a winch? I cant believe others don't make this standard or optional equipment.
There are plenty of remote locations of which one shouldn't rely on having a winch to bail them out of a bad situation. Northwest Nevada of which I have remotely traveled in winter has few to no trees and the ground is too frozen to dig for a winch anchor.

Best to know how to survive.

Success story...

I use mine on a regular basis, mostly for pulling trees/logs but have also used for towing others out of sand at the beach.

Great tool but deadly if you aren’t careful.

A winch damper is something to think about carrying along. Warn and others sell them.

Otherwise, I have tossed a blanket or heavy coat over the winch line to help guard against recoil.

I do this all time in the winter getting into my cabin, the winch gets me through the spotty deep stuff. In light fresh snow, locked up with chains I’ve pushed through over 2 feet of snow. When it gets really deep I have a tracked side by side to get in.

What the heck, no tracks for the power wagon?!
