There are plenty of remote locations of which one shouldn't rely on having a winch to bail them out of a bad situation. Northwest Nevada of which I have remotely traveled in winter has few to no trees and the ground is too frozen to dig for a winch anchor.That's awesome! Think about it, if you were by yourself, what would you do without a winch? I cant believe others don't make this standard or optional equipment.

I do this all time in the winter getting into my cabin, the winch gets me through the spotty deep stuff. In light fresh snow, locked up with chains I’ve pushed through over 2 feet of snow. When it gets really deep I have a tracked side by side to get in.
Had my PW for going on 4 months, never even used it since I put the hook on it! Hmm...
