Rule: Everybody has to own at least one black vehicle in their life time. They usually don't make the same mistake twice. LOL
Jay

I did that once. I dumbly let the wife buy a black SUV a few months after I had just bought a black GMC Sierra about 8 years ago. It was the worst 2 years of my life.

I pulled the fuse after it was in OR2. It leaves it there. Drove like crap and I didn't like the ride

Hmm, I didn’t know you could do that. Was your air suspension warning light goin’ all haywire?

If you didn’t like the ride from running it in OR2 mode, I would suspect you wouldn’t like the ride up front after that since those front bags are gonna be a lot stiffer. But then again you may not mind the stiffer ride since pretty much anything 35 is gonna stiffen your ride up considerably.

I just wouldn’t mess with that air ride to do it. I found a video of a guy who used regular leveling spacers for regular coil struts but he had to break the air lines to the front bags in order to put the spacers on. But, that’s supposed to be a sealed system and I bet he introduced a bunch of air in with the nitrogen.

If you don’t have lifetime warranty on your truck, it’s quite costly if something were to go wrong if you went that route.

Just a warning message but no bells going off. There's a video about it on YouTube.
I don't plan to pull those air lines. I have the same thoughts on it.
I didn't know 35's make a rough ride? Maybe I'm better off just leaving everything be.....

Anybody tried changing the FRONT LEVELING LINKS? Thinking of doing it but want some feedback first. Thanks

I have the ones from CFT. They work great, ride is the same, and you can definitely go 35's with them. Truck sits level, and even if it was slightly off, you can adjust them. It takes about 15 minutes to do both sides. Honestly one of the best investments I've ever made on a truck.

Finally got my new LED replacement underhood light in. Don’t have any night shots of the old bulb but these are from today, before and after.

And in case anybody’s interested, I have a spare underhood light, complete with panel push pin and the other LED light that came in the package if anybody wants it. I’ll post it over in the for sale section. 36c049b7bc4a7ddb8a827ce09036d82d.jpg

Amazon. But I’d try to get from someone other than this place because it took forever for it to get here. Had to come all the way over from China.

Unless you can find some 35” tires that aren’t a 10-ply or even an 8-ply, they might not ride too rough but I think a tire that big is almost impossible to find in anything other than a stiff-riding LT tire. But if you’re ride-conscience like I am, you may not like the ride from them unless you justify them by going off-road or just want that lifted leveled look. If you want, give those leveling link extenders a try. I think that’s pretty much your only option unless you go with a regular set of leveling spacers but unless someone makes those for the air ride trucks, you’ll probably have to break those air lines off your front struts, install the spacers and then maybe have to take your truck to the dealer to have the air system purged and refilled to make sure there’s no air in that system.

But there was a member here along time ago who had his air suspension system fail while he had those extenders on his truck. Not sure if having those was the cause of the front slamming down to the bumpstops or not, but thankfully since he was still under warranty, they covered the cost of the repair. And they removed his aftermarket leveler rods and replaced back to the stock-lengthed plastic ones.

How much did they raise the front to level it?

Hopefully you don’t have issues with doing that because that air compressor is pretty weak and is a pretty sensitive system. I wouldn’t wanna overwork it at all by any means but hey, if you’re out of warranty, you can pretty much do whatever you want.

I honestly didn't measure it, but I got the same amount of level that I did with Bils on my '11.

The suspension raised once when I put them on, and functions exactly like it did before. It goes into Aero, lowers to entry, OR 1&2, everything is the same, only level. I don't think it's stressing the system much at all.

That’s strange, I figured that since the front is no longer at stock ride height anymore that it would be quite a bit higher in the front when in either OF1 or OF2 because those two modes alone are supposed to level out the truck. Aero mode, I can see still working properly for the most part but is entry-exit mode still dropping the front all the way down on the bumpstops now that the front height is set taller? Seems to me like the front would only drop down to where it it “thinks” is all the way down which is the height you increased it to.
