I haven't seen a whole lot of info on the Rosella gas truck full synthetic oil, so I took the plunge today. It's the first oil change since I got the truck (used). All in was $56.29 from NAPA.
Wasn't happy to find this when I changed the filter.

Installed my filter relocate. Still running the rp20-820 filter. Getting harder to find these. Switched from redline to PUP 5/30. Honestly my truck sounds happier on PUP. I used to get a mild startup squeak on the redline that has so far disappeared with the PUP. So far only ~200 miles on the new oil though. Forgot to collect a sample of the redline for analysis this time but only at 22500 miles on the truck. Swapped with 6500 on the oil. Next swap at 30000 with analysis

I'm thinking wix xp if I can't get any RP filters anymore. I have 3 10-48s (thanks @SyN!) and 3 20-820s so that should last me about 3 years. As much as I can't stand RP their filters are top shelf.

Joking aside we all know the Amsoil filter is basically the same thing as the royal purple. I will probably buy the $20 one year membership and buy a large amount of filters at once.

And since I have the membership I might as well buy a bunch of Amsoil P.I. And maybe some grease.

And maybe a few quarts of 5w30 SS....... my fence need re-treating.

Go cold enough and you can see for your own eyes inferiors cold protection oils in a state of fail...

Wait wait, I'll take a case of the cloudy ones if I was searching for the best oil to use in the cold?

This video was published 3+ years ago. Amsoil has been through at least one major reformulation since then. He's testing at -30C. That is -22F... 8 degrees colder than Project Farm tests with. Is that 8 degrees the breaking point? Do you even know if the formulas sold in Russia are the same as the US? I fail to see how you think this is valid and the other is not. Cloudy or not, Redline does not flow as well in cold flow testing @ -15F against Walmart oil of the same weight, new or used. Watch it here for yourself in case you've forgotten.

Amsoil ea filters for sure if RP is done. I have about 9 years of filters, but after that I will see who is still around.

The only thing I don't like about Amsoil EA011 vs RP 20-820 is the EA011 only has 6 inlet holes and the 20-820 has 8. We need to get a micrometer reading on these to see if the 6 holes on the EA011 is the same area as the 8 on the 20-820. If they're the same I'd go with the EA011.
