Can someone point me in the right direction to get a remote start for my 17? I want to use my factory fob. I want a plug and play system. Thanks

You can add remote start for practically nothing. There are two ways, first you can just buy new rubber inserts for your key fob and ground one of the taps in your electric box then program or the second way is to add the new hood latch. I did the hood latch so I think it cost me just over $100 for factory remote start. Can someone point me in the right direction to get a remote start for my 17? I want to use my factory fob. that's exactly what I did accept that guy's charging everybody a hundred bucks to flash their module and you can do it on your own computer for free. (If) you have mild knowledge and patience for it. I had to flash my box four times before I got it right [emoji35]Saw this. Little pricy though
I did exactly what @CincyCuda68 posted. Total cost for a new hood latch and and overlays off ebay less than $45. I'm pretty sure 2017 and up comes from the correct RF hub that make it really easy.
All you have to do is run the wire that would go to the new hood latch to ground, that simulates the hood being closed. Everything else is the same.that's exactly what I did accept that guy's charging everybody a hundred bucks to flash their module and you can do it on your own computer for free. I am however really interested in that other way that was posted for just grounding out your remote or something and enabling auto start with Alfa OBD.
I like to Tinker [emoji23]

And change the rubbers in your fob lol. That’s it. Should cost you less than $20What the SH*T biscuit! And then just enable it in AlfaOBD that's all I had to do?

To your recollection does this method work for a 2014?

Exactly! The OP has a 17 so @big daddys house you are SOL, sorry! With a 2014 you need a new RF hub/antenna attachment because 13-16 do not have built in antennas in the RF Hub like 17-18 RF hubs do.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I was going to do it for fun. I already installed autostart 2 years ago. I just like the the idea of sticking it to the man....Exactly! The OP has a 17 so @big daddys house you are SOL, sorry!
It should be exactly the same as the 2018. You should be good to go!I'm about to pick up my new 2019 Warlock based off "classic" Would any of this apply since it's the same basic truck as the 2018? Seem not too many online places distinguish between classic vs all-new versions?
What year is your truck? So am I reading this correctly that all I need is the FlashLogic and some programming done by a local shop or dealer and I can use my factory fob?
