First of all for all of us who buy these trucks and are supposedly so in love with them WHY IS THIS THE LONGESSSTTT THREAD I HAVE SEEN SO FAR? Just throwing that out there and wondering if anyone else noticed that? So here's the thing, I've owned more vehicles than I can remember, most of them GM products. I do almost all my own wrench work which is why I hate Fords. This is actually my first Mopar truck and I absolutely love it BUT there are some things like the mysterious electrical issue nobody has ever heard of. Case in point, hasn't been a perfect vehicle made yet. Out of the hundreds I've owned never had a single one I loved %100. You weigh the bad against the good and if the scale tips in favor of the good you go with it. 'Nuff said.

Why would you start this the way you did, then turn around and complain about your truck? Bipolar much?

It's been close to a year that I've had this 2104 (DOH!!! I meant 2014) Bighorn.
I can tell you that there are a few things that I find annoying, but for the most part, this has been a good truck.

1) Why do the dash lights go full bright when I turn the headlights off? I pull in the driveway and it's pitch black out. I turn off the lights and get blinded by the dash lights.

2) The rotary shift knob. In and of itself, this is not a bad idea. But everything on the dash being round, I find it easy to turn down the radio and find myself in park while sitting at a red light. Time behind the wheel does lessen that, but I think it could be better thought out.

3) The oil filter removal is tough without making a mess.

4) The pattern of the fog lights leaves quite a bit to be desired. The amount of light is fine for me, but a 90 degree turn on a back road intersection means I have no idea if there is something in my way. The headlights light the way straight ahead, but more than 45 degrees off axis, light is sparse. They are, however, light years better than my 98.5 second gen!!

All in all, this is a good truck with minimal negatives, but these four really stand out.

WOW!!! You must live in the future with a 2104 Ram Bighorn!!! You'd think they would have all the bugs worked out by then. LOL BTW who is President then? I forget....

I couldn't resist... no offense. I also own a 2104 ...er 2014 :)

I miss my MAX AC button. Cold in the morning so heat is on with what lil air flow there is. Then head home and have to watch it when turning to cool. 2yrs and still take to max at times. Old man memory sucks haha

And then the EB resets with every power cycle. Thinking if there is a way to setup a momentary relay that would be triggered by the run position. Since I think that it is a momentary "bump" switch, eonder if it would throw codes if the switch was shorted all the time. Might have to play with that idea (keeping button pushed through off/ign/run cycles).

Guess I'm spoiled. Both my RAMs have/had ACC. Set the temp and everything is automatic. Including turning the heated seats/steering wheel on if below 40° and the ventilated seats on if above 80°.

I thought I knew all the applicable acronyms. Even as a RAM man, EB means (phord) EcoBoost...??

I should add. I've had several vehicles with ACC - (2) SAABs - a 1998 and 2001, (2) Mercedes - a 2001 and 2009 and my wife's 2015 Explorer. None of them have worked better than either of my RAMs (2015 and 2020). In fact, all of they were marginal to poor with the exception of my 2009 CLS 550 (and, as an $80k car it certainly OUGHT to have been more than half decent).

I love that dark blue you have... what's the name of it? I was looking for a blue one like that and could not find one, so settled for the maroon.

I have two main gripes about my truck.

1. I still can't wrap around my head no shifter. A little round knob is the shifter???
I almost didn't buy the truck because of that... but it was so nice looking. That was two years ago and I still don't like no shifter.

2. I hate this one the most... it was recalled recently and they "fixed" it to where if your door is open at all, you can't back up or go forward. You have to shut the door and put it back in Park before moving again. WHAT the HECK??? There are lots of times backing up like camping etc where I want to open the door to see how close I am to the curb or rocks etc. The engineer that came up with that "fix" should be FIRED!!!

Here is the website on my truck with some mods:

He probably has a diesel in which case EB is the exhaust brake.

Not sure who you're referring to. If it was me, my '15 was Blue Streak, which I absolutely LOVED. My '20 (current avatar) is Patriot Blue.

The '21 Hydro Blue looks very interesting to me, since it reminds me of what the online interpretation of Blue Streak. When I first saw Blue Streak online (6 years ago) I thought "nope, way too light/bright" but in person it was PERFECT. The color shown online for Hydro Blue is, to my (probably defective) memory, EXACTLY the same as the Blue Streak of 6 years ago.

I will seriously consider trading in my '20 if Hydro Blue is what I envision it actually is.

FWIW, I absolutely LOVE the TRX two-tone Hydro Blue/Black. Not available on my desired non-TRX configuration...

The truck is a 2016, found out the hood is off of a 2014. Was replaced sometime before I bought it.

Yep yours was the blue I liked. I'll have to check both colors. I'm partial to midnight metallic blue, the color of my first car, a 1957 Olds.
